Elite Vinhos thanks to the doctors of Portugal
Elite Vinhos, a wine producer based in Reguengos de Monsaraz, offered on Tuesday the 16th of June 1,000 bottles of wine to the Portuguese Medical Association, in a gesture of thanks for the efforts made by doctors in Portugal to combat the Covid-19 virus.
In a small ceremony, at the headquarters of the Ordem dos Médicos, Filipe Perdiz, General Manager and oenologist at Elite Vinhos, handed a bottle of wine to Dr. Miguel Guimarães, President of the Portuguese Medical Association.
“Through this donation, we want to convey our sincere thanks to the doctors of Portugal, in this battle against a virus that has changed our society, and which has forced doctors to fight in a way that perhaps not everyone is aware of”, he stresses.
Elite Vinhos, with 110 hectares of own vineyards, produces high quality wines, with brands such as 3Folhas, Herdade de Ceuta and Artesano. Its main values are “the highest quality in everything we do”, the preservation of the environment and indigenous grape varieties, and a strong connection to its origins… the Alentejo plains, in the shadow of Monsaraz, on the edge of Alqueva.
